Welcome to Operation Cupcake!
Operation Cupcake is a nonprofit organization that delivers home-made cupcakes directly to families and individuals in need. Operation Cupcake was founded by two fifth graders in November 2012 following Superstorm Sandy in an effort to provide relief to victims of the storm along the New Jersey coastline.  In its first year of operation, we have delivered over 20,000 cupcakes to support food pantries, food drives, soup kitchens, fundraisers, and the outreach efforts of volunteer organizations, nonprofits, and outreach programs across New Jersey. We have also held fundraisers to donate appliances, furniture, utensils, and other household goods to New Jersey residents in need. In November of 2012, Operation Cupcake officially  joined the Hometown Heroes network.

DECEMBER 2, 2013
November was both an amazing and humbling month for Operation Cupcake.  We started the month by reaching 1,000 "Likes" on our Facebook page, helping to ring the opening bell at the NASDAQ in New York City, announcing a formal partnership with Hometown Heroes and debuting our new logo. These were all wonderful things and a great way to celebrate our one year anniversary, but as Thanksgiving approached we got back to work.  We made deliveries to displaced Seaside Heights Veterans, The Interfaith Caregivers of Greater Mercer County, The Community Food Pantry at St. Mary Parish and the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.  With each delivery we realized how truly fortunate we are to have such wonderful friends and families, and to be in the position to help other people.  We have much to be thankful for, so we want to thank you all so much for your love and support!

We are honored and thrilled to announce that we have been asked to officially join Hometown Heroes. Founded by our very good friend Mike Schwartz back in 2008, Hometown Heroes is a non-proft organization that provides assistance to the community at-large, and help to any individual or family who suddenly finds themselves in crisis. Hometown Heroes was chosen to lead the Restore the Shore Hurricane Sandy relief campaign, and has helped Jersey shore residents with everything from bills to replacement furniture, to security deposits on new homes. Hometown Heroes also provides food for the elderly, assistance for new mothers, help to residents facing disability and much, much more. Beyond financial assistance Hometown Heroes provides pro-bono professional services and good old fashioned hard work to help those most in need.

Our promise is that wherever Hometown Heroes are, we'll be there with cupcakes. As long as it's not on a school night...

We are happy to announce that we now have two "Bake It Shoreward" tee shirt designs available in our online shoppe.  Shirts are available in Extra Small (Youth size) through Adult Extra Large.  All shirts are $15 and include free shipping! All profits will go toward the purchase of baking supplies.

Thanks for visiting!
